By the number of "omg's"; I'm thinking it might be a joke that everyone's getting in on.
Especially since it's that stupid longsword from the presear quest that has the crystalline skin, he must have got it before they made it look like a regular longsword.

I kinda thought that might be the case but you never know with online games...
I also thought he/she might be some Anet staff member or something ...

I read about Gaile's mask being stolen ... wanted to know what happened to it but never heard.

If it was a staff member, I'm not sure how well that would go over. Like when some jerk stole Gaile's lion mask for her European account during the Canthan New Year. He tried to auction it on GWO and the thread got closed after about 50 pages of flaming all in one day.

most probs a joke as people usually sell weps customized by them for laugh.

gw official site lists guilds which anet employees are in as an old alliance member's guild was listed on there.

Did it REALLY get stolen? If it was left on the floor it was hardly stolen as she would have to dropped it there and accepted the possibility that someone would pick it up. Not against the rules I think. I would pay for her mask.
